Who is Luke Flowers Creative?
My passion for all things creative has been with me since early childhood. Whether creating paper people worlds with my brothers, trading my illustrations to friends for sports cards, or spending countless hours drawing from every Scholastic "How to Draw Book".Those experiences inspired me to pursue art as a career. After gradutating from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design in 2000 (with a Bachelor of Fine Arts / major: Illustration), I was blessed to get a job as Senior Designer for Young Life in the Creative Services Department. During that time I began working as a freelance designer/illustrator in the evening hours. Over the years the creative opportunities expanded with the freelance work, and in June, 2010, I launched Luke Flowers Creative.
I am once again richly blessed to be spending countless hours inspired by the creative opportunities each day presents. I may not get paid in sports cards anymore, but I still have that stack of "How to Draw" books in my creative cave ... and I am thrilled each time one of my three amazing kiddos, grabs one of those books and asks if they too can do a drawing. That's true illumination of imagination.
